Vamizi

Quirimbas archipelago, Vamizi Island, Mozambique

Vamizi is a tropical island paradise deep within the Quirimbas archipelago of Northern Mozambique. The island is home to six beautifully designed private villas each with their own team of staff, garden, private swimming pool (bar one villa) and each built facing the sea on their own stretch of pristine beach. The villas have been built 70 meters apart from one another to maintain maximum privacy and seclusion. Each villa sleeps up to eight adults and between four and eight children, but rates are staggered to allow honeymooners and small families to stay in the villas for less.

Vamizi offers a world of activities on both land and at sea. The diving and deep-sea fishing is world class and the island is surrounded by a coral reef within a marine sanctuary that is ideal for snorkelling. Other activities include sunset dhow sailing, kayaking, yoga, spa treatments, jungle walks and castaway picnics, and paddle boarding. Vamizi began as a conservation project, in conjunction with WWF, and enthusiasts are welcome to actively participate in the various marine conservation projects taking place daily on Vamizi.
