Itinerary

Day 1 - 2 - London - Phoenix - Sedona
On arrival at Phoenix, pick up your rental car and drive the short distance to your hotel for the night. Enjoy your first American breakfast! After which, drive north to Sedona, a two hour drive. Spend the day exploring the spectacular red rock landscapes of the area.

Day 3 - 4 - Sedona - Grand Canyon
Today drive north through Oak Creek Canyon to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Enter the Grand Canyon through the eastern gate, allowing you to stop at the Desert View Watchtower for your first full glimpse of the canyon. Spend the next day hiking the Rim Trail.

Day 5 - 6 - Grand Canyon - Sedona - Los Angeles
Return to Sedona to board a flight to Los Angeles where you’ll collect your rental car and make the short drive to your hotel on the beach in Santa Monica. Spend the next day enjoying the beachside communities of Santa Monica and Venice.

Day 7 - 8 - Los Angeles - Santa Barbara
Take the Pacific Coast Highway going north to Santa Barbara. Make stops along the magnificent coastline before arriving at the beautiful seaside town of Santa Barbara, the American Riviera.

Day 9 - 11 - Santa Barbara - Carmel Valley
Another stunning drive along the Big Sur and Pacific Coast Highway going via the picturesque fishing town of Morro Bay before continuing onto Carmel Valley. En-route, stop at the elephant seal colony at Piedras Blancas and the beautiful McWay Falls. The next few days, explore the rich marine ecosystem of Monterey Bay, maybe catching a glimpse of whales and dolphins!

Day 12 - 15 - Carmel Valley - Yosemite
For the next three days explore Yosemite National Park. Visit Glacier Point in the heart of the park with breathtaking views. Other activities include fly-fishing, cycling and rock climbing.

Day 16 - 18 - Yosemite - Sonoma
This morning, you will drive to the rolling hills and vineyards of Sonoma. There are a few routes you can choose, one being via the Napa Valley. The next day either enjoy relaxing tours of the vineyards, or, if your feeling adventurous there are options or canoeing, horse-riding and zip-lining.

Day 19 - 22 - Sonoma - San Francisco
The final days of the trip will be spent in San Francisco. Colourful, fun and quirky, there is an abundance of restaurants, shops and galleries to be discovered.

Day 23 - 24 - San Francisco - London
Make your way to San Francisco Airport and board the direct flight back to London, 10hrs 25mins.
