Day 1 - 2 - London - Colombo
Negombo – Unwind in a boutique hotel surrounded by tropical gardens. Take a drive into Colombo to explore the restaurants, shops and sights or go for a peaceful boat ride through the wetlands of Muthurajawela, spotting some of the large variety of birds.
Day 3 - 4 - Colombo - Kandy
Travel east up into the hills to Kandy, the last ancient royal capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Kandy is home to Sri Lanka’s most sacred shrine, the Temple of the Tooth. Nearby activities include golfing, temples, walking through tea estates and trekking the rugged Knuckles Range.
Day 5 - 6 - Kandy - Koslanda
Head south to the magnificent tea country arriving at the Living Heritage Koslanda. The hotel has only four suites, each with a spacious courtyard, private hot tub and an outdoor shower. The property borders a patch of forest known locally as ‘God’s Forest’, with a beautiful river and a secluded waterfall to dive into
Day 7 - 9 - Koslanda - Yala
Leave the hills behind and travel southeast to Yala National Park on the coast. The park includes 44 species of mammal, including one of the highest densities of leopard in the world. Camp at the edge of the park in a cosy, secluded honeymoon suite, dine by candlelight, shower under the stars and enjoy expertly guided game-drives in the park.
Day 10 - 13 - Yala - Galle
Travel along the picturesque coastline to Galle, famed for pretty beaches, a 17th century Dutch fort and a cosmopolitan vibe and great shopping. Kahanda Kanda, set in its own 12-acre hilltop tea estate, is a blissful couples-only boutique hotel. Enjoy views over the bird-filled tropical gardens, the tea fields and in the distant Koggala Lake. Take a guided bicycle ride through picture-postcard rice fields and villages.
Day 14 - Galle - Colombo - London
Today transfer to Colombo Airport for your direct home to London.
