Rainforest and Volcanos

Depart London Heathrow on the direct British Airways flight to Juan Sanataria Airport, San Jose.  Spend overnight at a nearby hotel before boarding a charter flight to Golfito.  Transfer by boat for a scenic ride along the Golfo Dulce into the heart of the tropical rainforest to a beautiful eco lodge on the coast.  Activities include hiking in the pristine rainforest, spotting the many species of tropical birds; picnics on the beach; snorkelling and kayaking.

This morning, fly to La Fortuna Arenal and transfer to the hotel on the outskirts of the Arenal volcano.  Visit the natural hot springs of Ecotermales, which are fed directly from the rivers flowing down the foothills of the Volcano.  The various pools have different constant temperatures where you can enjoy a hot swim altogether!

Today you will drive four hours to the Bagaces region to a lodge set in 600 acres of rare dwarf forest and rocky canyons.  Here lies the largest network of hot water, and mineral springs.  In this canyon, almost 5000 gallons of 120 degree water drops every minute, and it all happens before your eyes on the canyon’s rock walls and white-sanded riverbed.

Make the journey to your next stop, Tambor.  The next three days are on the beach, winding down from the action of the past days, with a choice of activities for all.  These activities include zip-lining, hiking in the Cabo Blanco National Park, yoga, fishing, paddle-boarding and horse riding.

Transfer to Tambor Airport for a private charter flight to San Jose where you connect onto the direct flight to London Heathrow.
