Polar Bears In Winter

Depart London on a flight to Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Spend the night in Winnipeg before the flight to Hudson Bay the following day.  Once arrived at your lodge, you will meet your guide and the small group you will be joining for your Arctic adventure.

The next few days you will be on an exhilarating tour of this magnificent part of the world.  Travelling in tundra vehicles, small planes, dog sleds and hiking will give you an exclusive and varied view of life on the tundra.  During the months of October and November, polar bears congregate on the northeast coast of the Bay waiting for it to freeze over to continue their passage to the Arctic Ocean.  As well as polar bears, there is a large variety of other wildlife including the Arctic and red fox, caribou and outstanding bird species.  If you’re lucky, you may also see the Northern Lights.S  pend the evenings in a cosy lodge with wood fires and listen to lectures and presentations by your guides.

Today you will make the return journey to London via Winnipeg.
