Petra and The Dead Sea

Upon arrival, be met by your private guide and driver who will accompany you to a hotel in the heart of the city of Amman.  The next day, after breakfast, your guide will take you on a fascinating tour of the city including a tour of the ruins of the Nymphaeum public fountain and the Roman Theatre.  In the afternoon drive an hour north to the city of Jarash where you will find the ancient city of Gerasa.   This is one of the finest examples of Greco-Roman architecture outside Italy and gives a glimpse of the Roman life in the Middle East.  An extraordinary afternoon.  Return to Amman for the evening.

Today you will be driven south to Petra.  En-route you will have a number of stops including Madaba where a 6th century mosaic maps of Jerusalem is found, Mt Nebo to see the memorial of Moses (the view of the Dead Sea and Amman is beautiful) and Karak to see the Crusader’s Fort. Reach Petra and the hotel in the early evening in time to freshen up and to enjoy a drink on the terrace. In the evening, visit Petra by night.  Lit up with 1,800 candles go on a tour of this magical wonder.
The next day, you will return to Petra by daylight accompanied by your guide. Walk around the city, not missing the Al Khazneh, the infamous carved pink rock facade.
On your last day in Petra, visit the Al Beidha, the White One which is a smaller version of Petra in a sand coloured stone.
In the afternoon, you will transfer by car to the Wadi Rum, a vast, extraordinary landscape, dubbed as the Valley of the Moon. Transfer into a 4×4 vehicle and tour the area.  You will stay overnight in the wadi in canvas tents and with all the facilities you need. Enjoy a buffet dinner and star gazing before heading to your tent.

You will be transferred from the Wadi to the Dead Sea, to a luxury hotel and spa where you will spend the next two days.

Return by private vehicle to Amman where you will depart on the direct flight back to London.
