Lewa, Maasai and Coast

On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to a hotel located close to the airport in order to board a flight the next day north to Lewa.  The Lewa Conservancy is a private 62,000-acre estate of savannah and bush on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya.  In 2013, the conservancy was listed as a World Heritage Site.  The ‘big five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, Cape buffalo and rhino – can be seen here as well as a variety of game such as zebra, giraffe, eland and different gazelle.  The conservancy provides a sanctuary for both black and white rhino.  Stay in a lodge with magnificent views of the Mathews Range and a swimming pool that overlooks a waterhole popular with the local wildlife.  Stay in family cottages or single room cottages and enjoy fantastic service, activities and landscape.

This morning transfer via charter plane south to the Massai Mara where you will be met and transferred to a beautiful exclusive concession bordering theSerengeti, Masai Mara and Loliondo.  The camp is made up of elegant and traditional white canvas tent, reminiscent of the golden era of safari.  Each tent has an ensuite bathroom and dressing area.  If you are a larger party there are family tents or a five bedroom villa that can be taken exclusively.  The activities are endless – walking and vehicle safaris with experienced guides,  horse-riding, hot air ballooning, fishing, scenic flights, birding, rhino tracking and visiting local communities.

Today you will make the journey to Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast and arrive at a beautiful small owner run resort that has private cottages and villas.  Kick back and relax taking advantage of all the water-sports activities, too many to name!  On land, there is a tennis court, bird watching, horse-riding and safari game drives.

Transfer to the local airstrip, Ukunda and board a flight to Nairobi, in time to connect with the direct flight to London.
