On arrival in Nairobi transfer to a hotel near the airport for one night before your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport the following day.  From Kilimanjaro, board a charter flight to your first camp.  The luxury camp in the Serengeti National Park is constantly on the move, in order to be in the optimal location to whiteness the annual wildebeest migration. Spend your days watching and driving in amongst the literally thousands of migrating wildebeest and zebra.  Enjoy picnic lunches in the shade of acacia trees, afternoon siestas and evening game drives with a sundowner overlooking the vast plains of the Serengeti.

Travel to the next location in the west of Tanzania, Katavi.  This is a relatively undiscovered wilderness where it’s all about the big mammals.  The camp is situated on the edge of the Chada Plain where elephants and other game are frequent visitors to this shady spot; often you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your veranda to see them.

On a sandy beach overlooking the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika is your next camp, framed by the majestic, forested Mahale Mountains.  Here, the chimpanzees are the main event.  It is a truly magical experience to spend some time with these amazing creatures as they forage, play, squabble and groom each other.  Later, take a dhow out onto the lake for some leisurely fishing followed by relaxing sundowners as you meander along the coast on the tranquil lake waters.  If that all sounds too athletic, simply relax on the white sandy beach and paddle in the cool lake water.

Make your return journey from Kilimanjaro Airport to London, via Nairobi.  Or extend your holiday to a destination of your choice – such as Zanzibar or one of the beautiful Indian Ocean islands.
