Amalfi Coast and Sicily

Upon arrival at Naples Airport, be met by your driver and transfer to the Amalfi Coast to your hotel.  Spend the next days relaxing and enjoying the magnificent views.  Activities include private boating, tours of the coast and trips to Pompei.

This morning, you will be driven to Naples airport in time for your flight to Catania, Sicily.  Founded in 734 BC, Syracuse was once the richest and most populated city in Sicily, rivalling Athens in size and power.  Steeped in history, it is a fascinating place to visit with ancient Greek architecture still standing all protected and listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Take a scenic drive to the town of Noto, described as the capital of Sicilian Baroque architecture.  Continue to Ragusa where you will stay in a charming historical hotel in the Hyblean Mountains.

Today, drive to the archaeological site of Agrigento, with magnificent ruins of Greek temples from 5th and 6th centuries BC.  Stay at a hotel for one night with views of the ruins.

There will be a long drive to Taormina today, but the drive is scenic and many stops will be made depending on your interests, there is a lot to see!  Once arrived in Taormina, settle into your hotel, high on the cliff with sensational views of Naxos Bay and Mount Etna.  Taormina is a magical and charming town that has been a favoured tourist destination for centuries.

A short drive from Taormina is the beautiful town of Catania.  Steeped in history, wandering through the streets one comes across ancient ruins, classic baroque architecture and hidden trattorias.

Transfer to Catania Airport for the direct flight back to London.
