The Hungry Cyclist Lodge, Burgundy
Tucked away in idyllic Burgundy is a quirky boutique lodge offering exciting tours of local life, cuisine and cycling tours. The Hungry Cyclist Lodge is the dream of Tom Kevill-Davies, an accomplished cyclist, writer and foodie who after ten years in advertising left his job to travel around the world on a bicycle in search for the best local foods relying on the kindness of the many local people who offered him a bed and a meal! After returning from his travels he found himself back in France looking at an old disused water mill. From that point on, Tom has lovingly restored it back to life creating a beautiful bed, breakfast and bicycle lodge with five guest bedrooms and additional features such as bike shop and swimming pool.
The ethos behind The Hungry Cyclist Lodge is to sample the fantastic local food, superb wine and excellent cycling that Burgundy has to offer. Whether you are there for a short weekend break or longer, take advantage of the culture and tours on offer. These include gourmet food tours, vineyard and cellar tours, foraging for truffles and mushrooms, delicious picnics, visits to the local markets, cooking lessons and of course fabulous cycling.
